My first attempt at interior decorating outside my own house. I work on a floor that hasn’t been renovated since the 1970’s … not the most inspirational environment for a creative department. I was able to convince my boss to let us scrap a bank of cubicles near the highly trafficked kitchen area and allow us to create a “lounge” area where we could hold impromptu meetings and enjoy our lunch.
I led a team of five co-workers (using our own time) that did a thorough and democratic exploration of different layouts and furniture arrangements. It has a rotating employee art gallery, a wall-mounted wireless iMac and a magnetic white board for ideation and posting inspirational items. One of my proudest accomplishments.
